IT’S NOT GUNS IT’S DRAG
The most evil, filthiest, nastiest Drag Queens to exist
AK-Kassandra
Acrylic on Canvas, 24in x 36in
Carnivorous creatures in wigs, red-eyed demons with press-ons, and razor-sharp fangs with plump lips—these demonic portraits encapsulate the exaggerated view of drag performers through the conservative lens. Just as glamorous, colorful, and artistically talented, but portrayed through a spectacle of ungodly creatures whose only motive is to prey on the younger generation.
States like Montana, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida have attempted to pass legislation banning public drag performances. When the far-right sees people celebrating their differences and living authentically without the co-dependency of religion, they claim we’re performing genital mutilation on children. Meanwhile, the biggest threats to children today are guns and pastors.
This collection arises from my frustration with the current government administration, their favoritism towards Christian nationalists, and their consistent demonization of the queer community. If Republicans want to paint drag queens as malevolent monsters who only want to manipulate children, I’ll paint it for them.
